The FOMC’s September meeting minutes are set to be released today. The FOMC’s meetings minutes are set to provide insight into the Fed’s deliberations during their September meeting in which they hiked by 25 basis points. Therefore, market participants may be combing through the statements in order to gauge the Fed’s conviction at the time of the decision and what factors accounted into their decision. Overall the minutes could provide support for the greenback should they be overly hawkish, yet considering recent financial releases the minutes could have a temporary effect on the dollar’s direction.

SpaceX looks to buy $40bn worth of Nvidia’s chips

SpaceX is looking to buy $40bn worth of Nvidia’s chips in an effort led by Apollo management. The company  per the FT is looking to raise $10bn from bank loans with the remaining $30bn from investment grade debt. The move by SpaceX marks a significant investment, but also benefits Nvidia’s (#NVDA) stock price during a time where its competitors have been making moves. Nonetheless, the possibility of such a deal could provide support for Nvidia’s stock price.

Iran says that talks are meaningless with the US

Oil prices have moved higher following Iranian’s President Pezeshkian who stated on Monday that talks with the United States are “futile” according to some sources. In turn the possibility of an escalation in the region, which could potentially threaten the global oil supply, may have provided some support for oil prices. Therefore, in the event of an escalation in the region i.e attacks on oil tankers, we could see oil prices gaining newfound support. On the other, hand should it appear that the two sides may be engaging in meaningful dialogue, we could downwards pressures being placed on oil prices. Nonetheless, we remain vigilant to any developments in the region.
